Career Readiness Shouldn't Depend on One Stretched Staff Member
Your days often start with the fires that need putting out, not the strategic work you planned for. And, your team is stretched thin running the programs you already have. Adding one more thing usually means something else gets dropped.
The difference between a pilot that fizzles and a scaled program that your district becomes known for is to start small, prove what works, then grow.

Work-Based Learning Programs Built for Every Student
GPS Ed defines high-quality WBL as authentic learning that helps students develop the aspiration, abilities, and agency to succeed in the world of work.
Our work is grounded in research and backed by real-world results that have helped programs grow. GPS Ed’s 4As framework — Authenticity, Aspiration, Abilities, Agency — is built to serve the full range of your student body: the student who needs a reason to stay engaged, and the student who's ready for something academics alone can't offer.
Career readiness should be designed to develop skills, confidence, and a genuine sense of direction through authentic employer engagement in work-based learning across grade levels. GPS Ed’s support is built to stitch together and strengthen the programs you already have, not add to the team’s long list of priorities.
Proof in Practice: Milwaukee Public Schools
MPS serves more than 68,000 students across 156 schools. It’s the kind of district where "just add staff" isn't a real option. Since 2013, GPS Ed has walked alongside MPS as their model evolved, coordinating career awareness and employer relationships while district staff connect students ready for the next step. In 2024, that partnership reached nearly 800 students across 13 local companies and 15 career fields.
